Immediate Need for  Hadoop Developer @ Torrance, CA

Position: Hadoop Developer

Location: Torrance, CA

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Citizens, GCs & EADs

Key skills: Java, Hadoop/HDFS/MapReduce.

Job Description:

We are looking for resources who have hands on experience, can validate that the POCs, work side by side TMS associates to train and migrate POCs from Dev, Test, QA and Prod.  Resources should be familiar with the following (Spark, Cassandra, MLib, Tf-idf and  SOLR)

- 5+ years of Java programming

- Experience with Hadoop/HDFS/MapReduce.

- Experience with Hbase/NoSQL or similar technology.

- Experience with Oozie, Zookeeper, Solr,  Spark is a plus.

- C/C++ programming experience is a plus

- Experience building intensive data driven applications

- Experience with design and building data pipelines for processing datasets on Hadoop.

- Strong concepts on Relational Databases

- Modern scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, Java)

Nice to have or Optional

- Solr / ElasticSearch experience

- Machine learning / data mining experience (Mahout, MLib, R, Matlab,, etc)

- Apache Spark framework with Cloudera Enterprise
